This is a term that is bandied about without necessarily being understood, so let’s quickly analyse it. Environmental health refers to the natural and man-made environment, including machinery, and how it affects human health. Nature itself can be quite loud. Wallaman Falls may be a beautiful sight to have a look at if you’re in NSW, but it is far from silent if you get close. Similarly, anyone who has spent the day on a beach where the waves come crashing in knows that leaving on the area you become aware that it has suddenly gone quiet.
